About the scheme
POST in partnership with the British Psychological Society are recruiting one PhD student in a psychology related subject, to join the POST team for a three month Fellowship.
Applications will remain open until the 30th of August. Eligible applicants should be members of the BPS.
The BPS scheme runs on an annual basis, with past BPS Fellows having written POSTnotes on Migrants and Housing, Academic Evidence on Selective Secondary Education, and Policing Domestic Abuse, among other topics.
Who is eligible
All postgraduate students registered for a doctoral degree in a psychology-related subject e.g. PhD/MPhil or taught practitioner doctorates (DClinPsy etc) at a UK HE institution.
Applicants must be in their penultimate or final year of part or full-time study at the time of the start of their placement at POST. Applicants must be a member of the British Psychological Society (at least a Graduate Member).
How to apply
The following documentation should be sent to the Society:
- An application form
- A summary report on any aspect of psychological research that the applicant considered and shows to be relevant to public policy (1200 words). This should include an explanation of why the topic should be of interest to parliamentarians.
