Approved work: Children’s wellbeing in schools
This POSTnote will outline the current evidence and policies in schools to support children's wellbeing.
How do we rapidly review research for parliamentarians and parliamentary audiences - without comprising academic quality?
Through a year-long collaborative pilot, POST will test different ways to marry parliamentary demand with academic rigour, to enable parliamentarians to have greater access to accessible, relevant evidence syntheses.
The collaborative project will bring together POST, the ESRC-funded International Public Policy Observatory (IPPO), and the Research England-funded Capabilities in Academic Policy Engagement (CAPE).
The project will develop and evaluate training, templates and toolkits to support co-production of rapid reviews. The reviews will be co-produced between POST advisors and Early Career Researchers and PhD students from UK universities, and reviews will cover a broad range of topics.
It is hoped that, following this pilot, the collaborative partners will be able to support other stakeholders to use the materials and insights developed to deliver their own programmes of co-production.
Jonathan Breckon was selected In February 2022 as a CAPE Policy Fellow based in POST to take forward this work.
